A Word from PJ

“And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:2-3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

It always seems when we are weak the enemy will come after us with both barrels blazing. The enemy loves it when he sees an opportunity to slip into a situation and cause chaos. If we are sick the enemy wants us to doubt that God cares and tempts us to think that God can’t be trusted to help. You see the enemy would love nothing better than for you to live in such a way that you don’t call on God for anything. The enemy wants us all to think God really can’t be trusted and have us say, “What’s the point of living for God?”.

If you read the rest of Matthew 4 you will see how to fight the enemy when he attacks. You simply use the Word of God as your weapon. When fear, lust, doubt, addiction, anger, envy, deception, or anything else tries to overtake you, speak the Word of God into that problem. We must speak the Word then act upon what God’s Word says. Then we will see God bring us through our weakness. It’s very important to note that in Matthew 4 we see Jesus tempted, then He speaks the Word of God into that area of temptation and the enemy moves on to something else. Matthew 4 never said that Jesus got what the enemy was offering, it simply shows that God gave Him the strength to endure the struggle.

Love you,

PJ
