Trusting God’s Truth Over Our Feelings

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)

There are times when we don’t feel like Christians. Our emotions may tell us we’re distant from God, unworthy of His love, or even question whether we truly belong to Him. During these moments, it’s important to remember that our faith is not based on how we feel, but on the truth of God’s Word.

God promises that when we put our trust in Christ, we are His children—no matter what. Our feelings can be unpredictable, but God’s promises never change. In Romans 8:38-39, Paul assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. This includes those days when we don’t feel particularly close to Him.

When you don’t feel like a Christian, lean into the truth of your identity in Christ. We walk by faith, trusting in what God has said about us rather than what our emotions may whisper. Even in moments of doubt, God’s love and commitment to you remain steadfast.

Lord, when I don’t feel like a Christian, remind me that my faith is not based on feelings but on Your unchanging promises. Help me to rest in the truth of Your Word and trust that I am Yours, even when I don’t feel worthy. Amen.

Love you,

PJ
