A Word from PJ
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,”
Acts 3:19 NIV
If there is one phrase that can absolutely change your life and your eternity, it’s “Repent,... and turn to God”. You can be a person that has made every bad decision known to man or you could have lived a life full of all the right decisions. No matter the path you have taken in your life, we are all sinners in need of God’s forgiveness. That forgiveness only comes through repentance and turning to God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Once we have salvation through Jesus we have access to the Father. As Christians, we still make mistakes and stupid decisions. Even after your salvation experience you can still call on God to forgive you when you fall. Keep in mind we can’t just go around and sin all we want after salvation and expect God to forgive us no matter what. Go back up and read the rest of the verse. It says “turn to God”. When you “turn to God” you turn away from yourself and sin. When we are truly sorry for our sin we don’t live in it. We repent and turn away from that sin. We have a desire to honor God with our life and leave that sin behind.
Remember God loves you and wants you to receive His forgiveness and experience His refreshing.

Amen we need those times of refreshing and repentance. Sometimes I feel like God is using a Roto-Rooter. He wants permission to dig deeply into our souls so Holy Spirit can cleanse and heal us of our sins, especially those we are not aware of.
