A Word from PJ

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:13 NIV

As a young child if I ever went to a busy place with my mom she would hold my hand. It made me feel extremely safe and protected. I’m reminded of a time I got lost in a department store and it scared me so much. I yelled for my mom and she was there in like two seconds. You see, she was never far away. Just because I couldn’t see her, didn’t mean she couldn’t see me or didn’t know where I was. 

It’s like that now in our lives when we get our eyes off of God. When things in life get uneasy, uncertain, or uncomfortable we tend to panic. We are like a child lost in a large department store. We panic and begin to scream for our mom. We wonder if we will ever be found. We need to claim the promise in this verse. We need to cry out to God. Let Him hold our hand and give us the courage to know He will help us. 

Praise God for this beautiful verse.
