So the nurse called a few times today. She wanted to get permission to do a pic line which they had already done but I guess they’re having to do it again. Or they never did it before and they just did a regular IV. But she needed permission. It’s basically a deeper IV. They also call it a midline. He’s had a good day according to the nurse and respiratory therapist. He was on spontaneous when Jeff and Will visited this morning. He did that for about six hours. That’s the longest he’s done since the collapse. The boys said he looked good. He woke up off and on. He nodded his head to Will . he has learned a new trick which is to hold his breath. The nurses don’t know why he’s doing that. If he’s being funny or mad or what but they have to tell him to stop doing it. But the fact that he can do that and control It is actually a good thing. She also said the right lung is not putting off as much fluid which means that’s good. That means there’s not enough fluid to push out which means that right lung must be healing faster. The left lung is still pushing out fluid, but not as rapidly. All vitals are strong today. No other concerns at this time.
