Urgent Prayer Request

We have had a tragic event for our school system occur last night. Everyone was sent home yesterday to enjoy the holidays and a restful break until January. I got the call in the middle of the night and details through out the night that we have lost one of our third graders and 5 other students of ours at the elementary school were involved in a one vehicle accident coming back from a birthday party. One of our other third graders is unconscious and not sure of his condition this morning. The driver was our special education teacher at the high school and she was DOA. Our school system is broken and in shock. It will be local news at some point this morning I’m sure. Please pray for the Attalla City Schools family, the Powell family (our third grader who died), the Eason/Cofield family (the teacher who died had recently remarried to the name Eason but her children in our system are Cofields) and she leaves behind a newborn baby and a mix of biological and foster children. Her foster son, Ashton, who is our other third grader is unconscious and needs prayers to obviously recover. Our other students were at children’s hospital getting tests done but preliminary looks like they all will be fine (physically). They had to climb over their deceased friend, their unconscious friend, and their friend’s mom and/or own mom to get out of the vehicle.
