A Word from PJ

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,”

Psalms 30:11

When something tragic happens it’s hard to imagine that your wailing can be turned into dancing. I have seen this happen at a funeral of all places. Someone I knew passed away tragically and unexpectedly. This person was in their 20’s and it was just devastating to everyone who knew him especially the family. I can remember being at the family’s home the night of the tragedy. The family was just beside themselves with grief and mourning. After being there a couple of hours I left saying to myself, “There is no way they will make it through the funeral”.

The day of the funeral this family came in with the most unbelievable resolve and purpose. They knew the place would be packed. The dad told me, “We had our time to mourn, now it’s time to celebrate”. That day over 100 people accepted Christ as a result of the amazing way the family leaned into Jesus during that tragedy and how God turned their wailing into dancing. It was a great day indeed.

So no matter what the cause of your wailing turn to Jesus and He will cause you to dance.

Love you all,

PJ

I can testify. God is so good. We can celebrate their graduation, but will always miss them.
