What If It All Falls Apart?
Have you ever had one of those days where everything is going great… but your mind starts whispering, “It won’t last”?
You find yourself bracing for bad news, waiting for something to go wrong, or imagining worst-case scenarios before they ever happen.
I get it. I’ve been there too.
Sometimes it’s not the storm outside it’s the storm in your mind that wears you down the most.
The enemy loves to plant seeds of fear in the soil of your peace.
He wants you walking around with a heavy heart, not because something has gone wrong but because you’re afraid something might.
But listen to me, friend:
Fear borrows pain from a future that hasn’t even happened.
And most of the time, it never will.
Here’s what God says in Isaiah 26:3:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Perfect peace doesn’t come from controlling the future.
It comes from trusting the One who already holds it.
So instead of rehearsing disaster, start remembering His faithfulness.
Instead of living in fear of “what if,” start living in faith of “even if.”
Even if it doesn’t go the way you planned, God is still good.
Even if things shake, He remains unshaken.
Today, silence that inner voice of dread with the louder voice of God’s promises.
You are not alone. You are not exposed. You are not forgotten.
God is already in your tomorrow, and He’s not worried.
Breathe deep. Rest easy.
He’s got this and He’s got you.
Reflection:
What “what if” has been haunting your thoughts lately? What would happen if you laid it down at Jesus’ feet and replaced it with a “but God” moment?
Prayer:
Lord, I confess that I let fear creep in sometimes. I imagine things that haven’t happened, and I let them steal the joy of today. Help me to fix my mind on You. Remind me that You go before me, You stand beside me, and You live within me. I trust You with tomorrow, because You’ve never failed me today.
Love you,
PJ
