A Word from PJ

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”     1 Peter 4:10

I don’t have any gift or anything to offer! I heard a young man that was my friend make this statement years ago to an older deacon in our church. The sweet deacon told him “hold tight, be patient and God will show you what your gift is”. The young man that made that statement was intellectually delayed. He was always mistreated at school and by kids in his neighborhood, but seemed to thrive at church. He was always happy and everyone loved to see him. It was like he was a light bulb. Every time he walked in a room at church the people in it would light up with joy! One day, the young man was in a crowd talking to some young adults and the old deacon walked by them, and the young intellectually delayed man stopped the deacon and shouted “HEY DEACON WAGNON I FOUND MY GIFT!” The deacon said, “Well what is your gift?” The young man shouted, “I MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY!”.

I want you all to know that you have a gift from God. You may be like my friend and not know your gift. I want to tell you in the words of deacon Wagnon, “Just hold tight, be patient and God will show you what your gift is”.

Love you all,

PJ

Sometimes the gift is there but, we don't realize it.
