A Word from PJ

“or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love when bad things happen! I doubt there is one person that just flat out loves when bad things happen. On the contrary, none of us love when we experience hardships. I don’t believe the apostle was saying he’s happy during these hardships. I do believe, however, he is saying, I can grow closer to God and be more effective for God when I acknowledge him during my weakness, during my struggle, during my sickness, and any other hardship that comes my way. Everyone of us experience difficult times. I experienced one this morning and the enemy almost won. But, because of loved ones that care for me and a Holy God that loves me more than anything, I was able to snap out of it. For in my weakness I was made strong because of our loving God.

Love you all,

PJ
