Yes, No

A Word from PJ
“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 NIV
Two things that drive me crazy, someone making a false promise and someone who’s just indecisive. Like the cable company for instance. They will tell you we will be at your house between 1PM and 5PM and if we can’t make it we will let you know. Ummmm WHAT! Or my favorite, a friend that tells you they will do something and never follow through.
Folks, as Christians our Lord expects better from us than this. It’s important for us to be people of integrity. Say what we mean and mean what we say. When we promise something to someone we should deliver. I know we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings, but there is a nice way to let people down. If your answer is no to a question, let it be a simple no. Contrary to popular belief people are OK with a simple yes or no answer. If they’re not, they will get used to it quickly.
Let your yes be yes and your no be no.
Love you all,
PJ

Amen!!!

Absolutely, giving our word on things has somehow fallen by the wayside, just like morals. And people wonder why there is no trust in the world. People get serious about keeping your word. God needs to know if He can trust us. If we can't follow through with our promises, what can we be trusted to do?
Amen
